"Photography is the beauty of life, captured." - Tara Chisholm

Sandra Scheller attended the Pacific Northwest College of Art as a photography major. She was the recipient of the Faculty Recognition Scholarship throughout her time there. Since early 2008 Sandra’s career at PNCA has been strongly oriented towards studio based photography. Sandra has also worked for a local photography businesses as an assistant, second shooter, as well as in production. An exchange semester in Melbourne, Australia in 2009 has made her practice stronger. Her work was featured in the Victorian College of Art 2nd Year Photography Show in August 2009. She worked on her thesis exploring German heritage and her cultural background through the creation of constructed sets. Sandra Scheller completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in December of 2010.

Coming from a fine art background, Sandra Scheller has a photojournalistic approach with a twist. Her images capture those intimate, special moments, but also focus on the small details, making every photograph a piece of art. Her portraits expose Sandra's creative talent and always come across as natural and sophisticated. "I don't take what I do for granted. I am so thankful to take part in people's special times. To me, photography is an act of selflessness. I get to build amazing relationships and provide a product that revives memories even 30 years from now. There is nothing more special than seeing the smile on the face of client when they get to look at their photographs for the first time."
